10,000 miles later

My flight had me connect in Beijing (where its really COLD, -3 C) and then I arrived in Singapore at 6AM yesterday. I met 3 other Canadians on the same flight as me so I had some company during the layover.

I met alot of Canadians as we had our NUS registration yesterday. After, we went to the local market to buy some household items and eat. Everything is so cheap, especially the food. I ate dinner for only $3.50SGD (~$2.70 CDN).

My apartment is really small compared to the one in London. I’ve got three roommates but I’ve only met one so far (a Norwegian). The room reminds me of first year dorms but it is smaller than Saugeen. Each apartment has its own all-in-one bathroom with the shower and toilet together. Some pictures of the apartment below:

    Hi Ranji,
Glad to see you have made it safely there and seemed to already have settled in. How neat your room is…wow…your Mom must be really proud to see that (lol). What a great idea to have this blog….and you can even vet the pics you choose to post!! Take care.

p.s. your room is small…it must sure make you homesick for your own lovely home!!
